Destination: Deadwood

I was super excited when one my best friends Katie Gamber asked us to shoot her wedding. She was engaged shortly after Christmas and was planning a destination wedding in Deadwood for March! I was so jazzed that she was jumping the gun and getting things planned and in order. Wedding day was set for March 30th and everything else fell right into place.

The wedding was held at an amazing venue, the Deadwood Mountain Grand: an intimate setting with plenty or room for all guests with a short jog to Deadwood’s Historic Main Street.

It was an honor to be apart of Matt and Katie’s day in such a big way. They were such troopers as it was about 32 degrees, but sunny and really, an all around great day for a March wedding. We ventured down to main to capture some great shots. The venue had some great places to sneak in out of the window. It had intimate lighting and great open beams and tin that we used to our advantage.

How stunning is my bestie!!?

My brother Culynn, officiated the ceremony and it was beautiful, intimate and joyous. I loved everything about Culynn’s message to Katie and Matt. The happiness they share could be felt in the entire room.

This is possibly my favorite image that Clay captured while we were in Deadwood. Gorgeous.

Of course we ended the night with family, food and friends with a great live band! Thanks again Matt and Katie for trusting RodeoReady with your wedding day images! What a fun day!
